Subliminal is one of those projects I have a soft spot for, probably because A) I think it has a lot of potential and B) I used photos of my little boy constantly during testing.   I spent alot of time making it and wanted to get it posted and while looking the appropriate categories I couldn’t decide which one.  Finally, I picked Utilities and Entertainment.  The App Store categories aren’t very well thought out

When the application went live, I checked and checked and Subliminal never appeared in Utilities.  I know iTunes caches, but after 24 hours I was annoyed.  And while waiting for Utilities I decided it would didin’t belong in Utilities either.

So, in a moment of frustration, I switched it to Lifestyle – where I decided it truly belonged.  5 hours later it showed up in Lifestyle but it was already on the seond page.

Moral of the story:  Once a category is set, don’t mess with it during the first 2 days.
